Kappeln and Schlei

Friday July 5th

Dieter had noticed problems with Hamu's alternator during our trip. Because we were close to the place where the electrical system was originally installed, Dieter joined us for one day more and helped us sail from Holtenau to Kappeln. After tides and cold unfavourable winds the Baltic treated us like mother treats her children. We got to the beautiful Schlei, had the repairman come on board and he fixed the alternator. In the end we had dinner with Dieter and Ylva and said Auf Wiedersehen again. We came back to have our second night on the boat without anyone else. Luckily sailing is really tiring. Otherwise we could not have slept a wink.
