Falmouth

My level of excitement showed in my message to Dieter. I was supposed to write that the train arrives at 17:15 to Falmouth but I wrote that we arrive at 7:15 in the afternoon. When we arrived to Falmouth, there was no one at the station to meet us and when Dieter and Ylva went to meet us, we had left to seek for them. This was our worst navigational error during the trip. We finally found each other without the phone. Luckily the Great-Britain is a small island.

The next day we prepared for the trip, took a nice shower at the harbour and shopped for groceries. During the day we met a Finnish couple who was sailing back to Finland after a 5 year cruise. Their boat was the same as the one they left with, they said, just that every part had been fixed at least once. The sea takes its toll.

There were a couple of other famous sailing yachts visiting Falmouth. Windrose of Amsterdam and Zaca a te Moana may be familiar to you. We espcially enjoyed looking at the sailing boat Fyne built recently from old William Fife drawings.
